1. Service Description

VirtuePath is a personal virtue tracking application inspired by Benjamin Franklin's method for moral perfection. The service allows you to track daily virtue check-ins, maintain a reflective journal, set goals, and monitor your progress over time.

2. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this service
  • One person may not maintain more than one account
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Circumvent rate limits or other security measures
  • Use automated systems to access the service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
  • Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or violates others' rights

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on VirtuePath, including journal entries, check-in data, and goals. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service. You can export or delete your content at any time.

5. Intellectual Property

The VirtuePath service, including its design, code, and original content (virtue descriptions, stories, educational materials), is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the service or its original content without permission.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep VirtuePath available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

7. Limitation of Liability

VirtuePath is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised terms on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
